Welcome to the Audiology LibGuide

Hi, my name is Karen Nichols!  I am the librarian who works with Audiology, Speech & Hearing Science, Communication Disorders and other related fields.  This guide will point you to some of the resources available online and in the library.  If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, feel free to email or call me at 409-880-8131.  I hope you will find the guide useful and if you have some suggestions for useful additions to the guide, just let me know!

Getting Started

In order to get started on an assignment you may need to find definitions of terms or concepts.

A great place to start is CREDO Reference.
Type the subject in the search box.
You will find all types of reference tools that can help you get background information.

Some free and reliable web sites include:
Medline Plus:  Medical Dictionary by the National Library of Medicine
Medline Plus:  Medical Encyclopedia by the National Library of Medicine
