Texas Register a weekly publication, the Texas Register serves as the notice bulletin of state agency rulemaking. The Texas Register contains emergency, proposed, and adopted rules; notices of withdrawn and repealed rules; notices of rule review and other information submitted by state agencies for publication.

Texas Administrative Code a compilation of all state agency rules in Texas. There are 16 titles in the TAC. Each title represents a category and relating agencies are assigned to an appropriate title.

Federal Regulations are first proposed in the Federal Register and made available for public comment. They are then reported in the List of Sections Affected and with the final version published annually in the Code of Federal Regulations.

Code of Federal Regulations

The CFR is the codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the executive departments and agencies of the Federal government; it is divided into 50 titles that represent broad areas subject to Federal regulation. Each volume of the CFR is updated once each calendar year and is issued on a quarterly basis
