Books

Books are labeled with Library of Congress call numbers, which group them by subject. The libray catalog provides unique call numbers for locating each book.

To search the catalog enter a word or short phrase below:

 

Books on nursing can be found in the RT call number range and books on general medicine are in the R range.  These books are found on the first floor of the library (for reference books) and on the fifth floor (these can be borrowed).  Each book in the catalog has a location and call number.  Use these to find the book in the library.

Search the catalog for words or phrases related to your topic.  You may need to try using different search terms to get better results.

Select the appropriate search method from the drop-down box besides the search box.
You can search by titleauthor or subject in the catalog.  For most research, you will do keywordsearches for terms related to a topic.

Health care

Use AND to narrow the saerch:

Health care AND Management

Nursing AND Services AND Assessment

Use OR to broaden the search:

Assessment OR Evaluation

Myocardial Infarction OR Heart Attack

Books are organized in Library of Congress (LC) call number order.
