Interlibrary Loan Information

Interlibrary Loan

Only current Lamar University and Lamar Institute of Technology students, faculty, and staff may use this service. Course textbooks cannot be borrowed through interlibrary loan.

To start using ILLiad interlibrary loan, each user must first register with the system. After the initial registration, only your Lamar ID or library barcode number, and a password you create, are needed to logon to the system.

Users can now submit interlibrary loan requests online, track the status of their requests, receive electronically delivered documents, and change their profiles from any Web browser. Please check the library catalog to see if our library owns the material before submitting a request.

Materials found in FirstSearch that are not owned by the Mary and John Gray Library, can automatically be submitted to ILLiad interlibrary loan for processing. Make sure you have registered in ILLiad before starting your search.

For more information about ILLiad, read the FAQ. Or contact the Interlibrary Loan office Monday-Friday from 8-5 by calling 409-880-8987 or email ill@lamar.edu. After hours, please call the Reference desk at 409-880-7264 or Ask a Librarian.
