Faculty Corner Publications

The 2024 Faculty Corner (FC) opens on August 22, 2024, in the Mary and John Gray Library on the first floor. The Gray Library is recognizing Lamar University (LU) faculty scholarship in the FC. The criteria for the 2024 FC is published books (2019-2024), journal articles (scholarly, refereed, and peer-reviewed), intellectual property/patents, works of fine arts and book chapters from 2021-2024. We encourage LU faculty to donate their published books from 2019-2024 that are not self-published to The Gray Library to expose students to their research. Faculty can send their books to the Gray Library - Research, Engagement & Learning via campus mail using P.O. Box 10021 by June 3, 2024. The FC collection of books will be displayed and made available for check out.

We encourage faculty that meet the selection criteria to submit their citations to the Faculty Corner Publications form no later than May 31, 2024. If there are additional questions, contact Dr. Alyse Jordan at ref@lamar.edu or alyse.jordan@lamar.edu

Selection Criteria: 

1. Published books between 2019 to 2024 from traditional book publishers that are 50,000 words (200 pages) excluding bibliography, pictures, or graphs.
2. Published scholarly, refereed, or peer-reviewed journal articles from 2021-2024 that are 5,000 to 10,000 words (10-20 pages single spaced) excluding bibliography.
3. Published book chapters from 2021-2024 from traditional book publishers that are 5,000 to 10,000 words (10-20 pages single spaced) excluding bibliography.
4. Published intellectual property/patents and works of fine arts (exhibits/performances) from 2021-2024.
5. The articles are written by LU faculty and/or their peers from other institutions and published in a peer review journal.

If you wish to add citations, please provide only those published or exhibited from 2021-2024.
